Pat Eisemann

Pat Eisemann is a former VP, Executive Director of Publicity and Corporate Communications. Her career spans more than forty years in adult trade publishing having worked at Random House, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, Scribner and Henry Holt. In addition, she worked at The New York Times in Corporate Communications for six years. She has spearheaded campaigns for many award-winning bestsellers and news-breaking books including “Angela’s Ashes,” by Frank McCourt; Hilary Mantel’s trilogy on Thomas Cromwell; “The Shipping News,” by Annie Proulx; “Barbara Bush: A Memoir,” by the former First Lady; “The Noonday Demon,” by Andrew Solomon; and “Fire and Fury,” by Michael Wolff.

Her love of books began in college when she interned at The Washington Post in their branded books department. Her first job was writing children’s textbooks. A native New Yorker and lifetime Yankees fan, she currently lives across the river from Manhattan in Jersey City. An avid wordsmith, in her spare time she is highly competitive with her family over the New York Times crossword puzzle (print edition, black ballpoint only!); the daily Spelling Bee, Connections and Wordle. Since retiring from full-time office life, she has been a media advisor to a small press and a “book whisperer” to many writers seeking advice on publishing.
