Noreen Tomassi
Noreen Tomassi served as Director of The Center for Fiction in New York City until 2020. She began her tenure there in 2004 when it was the Mercantile Library. Under her leadership, she transformed the organization from a small membership library to the nationally and internationally known and admired Center for Fiction and oversaw the construction of its beautiful new home in New York City. While Director, she created the Center's First Novel Prize, Emerging Writers Fellowships, KidsRead/KidsWrite program, writing workshops, lauded events series, and many of its other services in support of readers and writers.
